Under general direction, the Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering profitable sales volume through assigned National Account customers to meet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives. The Business Development Manager will develop and implement activities/strategies to continually increase top line revenue, maximize margins and increase overall market share for the National Accounts Team.
How you will do it
Creatively develop strategy to penetrate underserved industry segments in commercial National Account space.
Support the Business Development team through RFP build outs.
Increase market penetration by securing new customers and expanding the scope of the existing customer base. Manages qualifications and assessing potential customers and opportunities. Link customer objectives to product solutions delivering a total value offering that creates a competitive advantage.
Work cross functionally with marketing, pricing, supply chain, product teams and partner contractors to ensure each group is engaged in strategy for new segments. Link customer objectives to turnkey solutions delivering a total value offering that creates a competitive advantage. Manages ongoing sales and execution process while responding to and anticipating customer needs.
Apply sales tools to develop and monitor strategic plans and activities for assigned accounts to execute and manage performance.
Create partnering opportunities with customer principles responsible for the decision-making process. Actively listens, probes, and identifies concerns. Understands customer's business and speaks their language. Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
Implement the Playbook within the assigned vertical, its current market and business performance, and develop a sales and execution strategy consistent with the Ducted Systems strategic plan for all market segments. Provide monthly product forecasts to enable supply chain and production efficiencies.
Collaborate with internal resources using a consultative selling approach to determine customer needs, develop support plans, and implement programs that provide a range of customer service offerings to develop and grow distributors to meet profitability targets.
What we look for
Required
Minimum 5 years sales experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
Experience working with National Accounts a plus
Demonstrated sales experience and consultative value selling process.
Excel proficiency and the ability to analyze both customers and internal pricing matrixes
Ability to travel at least 25%.
Masters Degree in related field.
