About the Role
We want you to utilize your skills and knowledge to the fullest, while continuing to learn and grow. Duties will include:
- Patient triage and assessment
- Client education and care
- Venipuncture, catheter placement
- Laboratory sample collection and processing
- Radiology and diagnostic testing
- Medication preparation and administration
- IV fluids and infusion set up and maintenance
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
- Medical recordkeeping
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician in Virginia, license-eligible, or enrolled in an AVMA accredited program.
- Experience with the level of care and fast pace of an ER/ICU settin
- Compensation is competitive with consideration taken for experience and discussed upon hiring.
