Dewberry is currently looking for a Party Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering in our Lanham, MD office.

• Perform land survey aspects of civil engineering projects
• Perform Construction Stakeout
• Field work associated with land surveying
• Perform Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys
• Assisting with survey computations and data collection
• Perform Computer-sided design and drafting
• Other duties as assigned

• A minimum of 5 years of working experience
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying is preferred
• Able to operate Robotic Total Stations, GPS, static, RTK, RTN
• Familiarity with Trimble and/or Topcon Robotics, TSC2 Data Collectors
• Ability to shoot Topography
• Willing to learn and use GPS and Robotic Instrumentation
• Ability to work remotely required under rigorous conditions
• Certified Survey Technician, level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
• Utility locating experience a plus
• Familiarity with Trimble Survey Controller, Trimble Access, Carlson SurvCE software a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be reliable

Additional Requirements:

• Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle
• Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
