Responsibilities:
Support the Manufacturing department in producing products that meet quality requirements.
Responsible for incoming, in-process, and outgoing product quality, collaborating with other departments to ensure shipping deadlines are met and managing the QC staff.
Oversee receiving and production inspection processes to enhance efficiencies and use data driven solutions to implement quality improvement plans.
Ensure raw materials, production processes, procedures and products comply with regulatory and quality standards.
Perform regular inspections and review to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.
Prepare and maintain quality management documentation.
Manage a team of 5+ Quality Control employees and build strategies to maximize performance.
Set goals for the QC team, complete performance evaluations, and provide proper training.
Collaborate with other departments on materials and timing / priorities required for jobs.
Communicate regularly with department managers regarding issues impacting production.
Develop workflow procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Degree in related field preferred
CQA/CQE/ASQ certification preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
3+ years working within a quality related role
Experience in developing and implementing quality control systems
Manufacturing background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to speak both English and Spanish, read and write English
Bilingual; don’t need to be fluent in Spanish but familiar is really ideal
Ability to coach, motivate, and provide support to staff
Comprehensive understanding of safety and quality control
Understanding of, and ability to use, basic metrology equipment
