JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Service Engineer with expertise in Multi Vendor (MVS) CAT II instrumentation, including chromatography systems (FPLC, HPLC, UPLC), liquid handlers, and other laboratory instruments. The successful candidate will perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of equipment. This role requires a focus on client satisfaction, impeccable service delivery, and effective communication with the team and customers to resolve issues efficiently. The position is based in Pearl River, NY, and demands a proactive approach to managing service calls, parts inventories, and customer relations.
JOB REQUIRMENTS:
Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and validation of a wide range of analytical instruments.
Coordinate with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs and resolve issues.
Provide training on equipment operations and safety to team members and customers.
Utilize customer management software for tracking service calls and managing parts inventories.
Conduct diagnostic analysis and problem-solving to ensure effective resolution of technical or application problems.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficient in Chromatography (e.g., FPLC, HPLC, UPLC).
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication skills and proficiency in using customer management software.
Additional Details:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer, especially with analytical instrumentation.
Must be available for overnight travel up to 10% within the territory.
Position requires lifting, bending, and stretching in a service capacity.
