Job Summary
Responsible for managing and implementing the operational risk management methodology and framework for the Company including but not limited to: risk assessment processes and procedures, control processes including effective challenge and control testing oversight, framework and infrastructure, and regulatory support oversight tasks. Contributes to achieving business objectives of the organization through operational excellence and assists with the review and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) as part of the overall Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to management and Business Unit leaders on overall risk management objectives. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Responsibilities
Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; supervises the daily activities of the team including, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary training.
Oversees the management and implementation of Operational Risk processes, tools, policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with Operational Risk Framework and the Enterprise Risk Framework Program.
Serves as a champion for refining, building and deploying risk governance processes to oversee identification, escalation, and aggregation of issues and emerging risks.
Assists in managing the aggregation of enterprise-wide identification of control exceptions, issues management & remediation and change control monitoring, reporting and documentation.
Spearheads the implementation and execution of Risk Assessments, identification of gaps in processes or controls and the development of remediation activities to resolve or mitigate the identified risks.
Oversees the development and implementation of a control testing framework at the First Line of Defense, as applicable.
Provides risk leadership and direction to business leaders and build working partnerships across the organization.
Conducts timely analysis of information and generates management level reporting regarding inherent and residual risks.
Represents operational risk on projects and initiatives, proposed product/system development, or enhancements and/or process improvements, etc.
Assist the SVP Operations Risk to effectively manage the Risk Committee meetings by developing the agendas, conducting necessary research and taking the meeting minutes.

Qualifications
Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
Advanced knowledge of Bank operations and lending products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other company operational policies and procedures
Advanced knowledge of risk assessments utilizing standard RCSA methodology
Knowledge of operational risk and related controls; COSO, SOX, and Capital Standards
Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio
Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
Effective organizational and time management skills
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments
Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 7 years of related work experience.
Work related experience must consist of an in-depth background in Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk and/or other risk background.
Prior experience in a Supervisory position preferred.
Salary Range:$101,212.00- 135,000.00 USD; Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
