The Manufacturing Engineering team within Boeing Defense Systems is seeking a highly motivated and talented Manufacturing Planner (Mid-Level)to join our growing team located in Huntington Beach, California.

The primary focus for this position is to plan and lead department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing installation plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration in an Installation/Assembly environment. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
• Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
• Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
• Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
• Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.
• Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
• Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
• Works under general direction.
• This position is for 1st shift but may be asked to work alternate shifts to support business requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned and may be requested to support other programs as needed.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Huntington Beach, CA, location.

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. top secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Associate’s degree or years related work experience, or equivalent combination.
• 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years' experience involving direct planning or installation activity associated to assembly or manufacturing.
• Prior Manufacturing Planning experience or equivalent mechanical/electrical systems experience.
• Strong communication skills & ability to work in dynamic development environment
• Ability to work fairly independently within a team environment.
• Aerospace or Underwater platform experience.
• Experience with MESci.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Typical Summary Pay Range:

Summary pay range for Associate level: $69,700 - $94,300
