The Employee Journeys UX team is looking for a UX Designer with a passion for improving the customer experience and designing for high-visibility programs that will impact experiences used by millions of people. You will advocate for our customers and evangelize your designs to leaders, stakeholders, and team members. Your most important mission is to ensure that were doing whats right for Amazon employees and prospective employees.
Our team includes UX Research and Design and actively partners with Product and Engineering to identify customer problems to solve, influence priorities, setting the North Star, planning work, executing design, ensuring quality, evaluating outcomes, and iterating.
We are looking for a highly-determined, highly-curious UX Designer to work alongside a Senior Designer and UX Research on discovery through to execution to improve how employees interact within their job and Amazon. You are responsive, flexible and able to work with a high-degree of independence and ownership and thrive in collaborative work environments, while raising the bar for user experience and accessibility.

Key job responsibilities
- Create user-centered designs by considering data, customer feedback, user research and technical constraints/opportunities.
- Quickly and thoroughly create user flows, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize new product initiatives.
- Relentlessly simplify and distill complex processes into intuitive and elegant UI.
- Establish and maintain detailed user-interface patterns and specificationsworking closely with developers to see your design through to deployment.
- Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- Improve design patterns, standards, methods, and processes.
- Work closely with engineering to effectively incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack.
- Apply best design practices to arrive at the right customer outcome.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
