Summary The?Visitor Control Specialist supports the Protective Service Office by providing support services, to include database checks. Responsibilities Support the processing of Foreign Nationals (FN) as the NHQ Assistant International Visitor Coordinator program by functioning as the Assistant International Visitor Coordinator (IVC). Contractor personnel performing functions as the assistant IVC shall possess and maintain a Secret security clearance. Coordinate and work with the Center FNAM requestors and sponsors to process all FN access requests for onsite visitors, offsite visitors meeting with NASA NHQ organizations, and facilitate Center to Center visit requests. Process access requests through the NASA IdMAX system and review all FN visitor access control plans to ensure the requirements for each visit are captured and accurate. Complete the database checks through Visual Compliance, I-94, Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE), NCIC, Federal Bureau of Investigations File, National Criminal History Check (NCHC), and NHQ Counterintelligence Office checks for each FN access request. Review each FN access request record for accuracy and forward the record to the NHQ Export Control Office for approval for all non-designated country FN visitors and to the HQ NASA Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR) Office for FN visitors who are from designated countries. Provide organizational services to the CCPS and the entire PSO by answering the office telephone, receiving/greeting visitors at secure doors, review correspondence. Provide badging office support by scheduling badging appointments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Two years of security, administrative, secretarial and/or badging experience Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, but not required to start. Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
