SUMMARY:
A Commercial Manager is in charge of business growth and understands, recommends, and sells products, materials and services on commercial projects that include products such as, but not limited to fiber board, batt insulation, air barriers, curtain walls, edge of slabs, expansion joints, spray foam, firestopping and fireproofing. Responsible for finding and building trusted customer relationships, completing project estimates, quotes, bids, proposals and contracts, and project managing expenses and revenue to create financial returns and business growth.
Compensation: Base + Commission + Benefit Package
Here is glimpse of what you will do:
- Manage the customer experience from sale to completion
- Identify prospective customers and proactively work leads.
- Provide product expertise to current and potential customers.
- Meet division expectations for number of proposals and closing sales ratios.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products.
- Conduct sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads, and manage accounts.
- Participate in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting, and project planning for projects.
- Recognize on-site activities impeding progress or jeopardizing project requirements.
- Review estimates to ensure accuracy for equipment costs, travel costs, and product pricing.
- Assist and approve agreements & contracts involved in the sales process.
- Project manage contracts from inception to close.
- Assist production, field installers in managing project budget.
- Prepare, quotes and negotiate change orders with client.
- Analyze competitors and review with management.
Here is some of what you will need (Required):
- Preferred but not required bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of experience.
- Course of study: Construction Management or Business Management.
- Prefer experience in Trades – Framing & Sheathing, Insulation, Firestopping, Fireproofing, Waterproofing, AVB, Waterproofing, Expansion Joints, Sealants, etc.
- Sales, Estimating, Project Management work experienced needed (3-5 years).
- Strong Mathematics skills in order to manage project expenses and revenue.
- Proficient use of On-Screen Takeoff Software and/or Quick Bid Software & MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Clear Pre hire: Background and drug screen.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Obtain applicable certifications/licenses as required.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
