Reporting to the Head of Commercial forNorth America, this remote/field-based Sales Senior Leadership position is directlyaccountable for leading our Siemens Healthineers Clinical and Specialtysales organization in the USA to achieve/ exceed sales goals. This includesresponsibility for developing key strategies that enable our teams to winand retain customer's business at a profitable level to ensure NAM overallsuccess across core lab and specialty.
Responsibilities
- Have direct customer relationships, deliveringquality diagnostic laboratory solutions to large IDN customers as well as keynational customers. Leverage theappropriate sales team strategies to ensure we meet/exceed the customers’expectations from proposal through implementation of our Siemens HealthineersValue proposition for the customer.
- Work across the NAM Leadership Team to ensure wehave the right tools and execution plans so that the organization has a bottom-upview of our customer opportunities and risks for each month, quarter, and endof year results. This also includesplaying a huge role in our budget planning and strategic company targetagreement process (MTA), building compensation plans to ensure respectivesuccess, and leading execution of this plan.
- Accountable for accurate forecasting of capital andreagent monthly forecasting working with the Marketing team to ensure wedeliver on the expectations of the customers delivery as well as stockavailability.
- Accountable for a short- and long-term sales teamsuccess which includes a strategy for who we hire, how we prepare the team forsuccess, and how we develop our team to be the highest quality at everyposition. This includes developing mutual expectations with a process forreview and action items to ensure this strategy leads to increased sales andprofit across the business.
- Implement and manage developmental plans foremployees’ sales performance and career goals, providing timely, direct, andhonest feedback on employees’ current strengths, as well as areas that needimprovement. Develop candidates for additional responsibility/promotion.
- Be a strong participant on the NAM Leadership Teamworking well with all members to ensure the success of our commercialbusiness. This includes working with theLeadership Team to improve processes to ensure best-in-class executioninternally to exceed our customers’ expectations. It also will require working the BusinessLine leadership to ensure our future is meeting/exceeding customerexpectations.
- Build an excellent collaborative workingrelationship with the Head of National Reference Labs, Health Systems, andStrategic Partnerships. This partnership is key to our overall success as abusiness.
- A minimumof 50% travel is required.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Leadingand developing employees in a dynamic customer centric market. Key competenciesinclude inspirational leadership and motivating others, accountability anddrive for results, strategic and organizational agility, change management,ability to establish trust and rapport quickly and building effective teams.
- Trackrecord of success leading sales teams in Core Laboratory Diagnostics isrequired, with a strong knowledge of the respective Top 50 Integrated Delivery Networks and the overallstate of the diagnostic laboratory markets with proven record of responding tothe opportunities this presents and mitigating risks.
- Provenrecord of leadership in a solution-selling environment and large accountdevelopment, with 10+ years’ experience in a complex sales environment (Capitalequipment, Medical, Devices, etc.) and 10+ years’ experience leading successfulmulti-tiered sales teams including P&L responsibility.
- Highdegree of business acumen to include standard competencies (financial, marketpositioning, healthcare industry, and customer relations) and proven record ofresponding to these changes organizationally to enable success.
- Experiencewith utilization of tools to include CRM and the ability to drive rigor andstructure with a variety of IT tools that enables structured knowledge of thestate of the business to support operational changes to drive success.
- Demonstratessuccess in communicating effectively with the leadership team to keep them informedabout the progress and alignment of business priorities and results. This sill is also essential in effectivelyconveying the direction from the Head of NAM to the entire sales force. Must be effective through email, virtual(i.e. MS Teams), and in-person communication with customers, internal teams andbusiness leadership.
- Experiencewith development of a comprehensive strategy for the Commercial sales teamwhich encompasses the management of frontline sales teams by managers. This strategy includes initiatives such ashiring, skill development, and career development, which have resulted insignificant success.
- Provenexperience and demonstration of management skills and ability to provide workdirection, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
- Mustpossess a high level of strategic decision making with a focus on impact andspeed, critical thinking skills, advancement of the skilling up of the entiresales organization so that moves execution to higher level.
- Education:BA/BS degree in business management or marketing or in medical health sciences(Medical Technology, biology, clinical Chemistry, etc.) or equivalent preferred

The pay range for this position is $245,000-$350,000annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-relatedknowledge, skills, and experience. The annual incentive target is 40%.
