In this role, you will be responsible for prints pick lists, labels, accurate work order fulfillment of components required from inventory using PC and RF device, transport work orders to production workstations using carts, pallet jack or forklift. Assist with warehouse stocking and sanitation. Loads, unloads, and moves materials by performing the essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Performs stocking or relocation of parts and components into inventory locations via RF scanner.
- Assist with loading materials into vehicles as needed.
- Conveys materials from storage or production workstations, using hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, or another device.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or using pallet jack, forklift, or other lifting device, cleans work area and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
- Assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Charge forklift battery.
- Ensure stock shelves are neat and orderly.
- Conduct cycle inventory counts as needed.
- Pull, package and issue material via RF scanners and PC.
- Other duties as assigned to promote optimal customer satisfaction.
General Tasks
- Maintain compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a related role or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Must meet forklift certification requirements.
- A strong team player
- Must have great communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to details required
- Quality oriented
- Good computer skills – Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
Compensation & Benefits
- The base pay for this position is $20.50 per hour.
