General Description / Primary Purpose
The Director of Graduate School Engagement, Outreach & Support, under the direction of the Dean of the Graduate School serves as the primary staff member over graduate engagement, outreach and support.
Essential Duties
Job Function
Serve as advisor to the Graduate School Dean on graduate school engagement, outreach and support services providing proposals, recommendations and reports as needed.
Supervise Graduate School staff in the implementation of marketing, outreach and engagement efforts.
Strategize, oversee, and assess the Graduate School’s marketing and recruitment efforts both internally and externally including marketing materials and events, social media, and collaboration with university and community partners.
Assist academic programs in the development of new graduate programs to grow graduate enrollment and meet local industry needs, including express and accelerated programs linking undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Assist with developing community and industry partnerships to enhance the Graduate School including collaboration with Industry Engagement and University Development, and identifying opportunities for internships, jobs, funding, tuition reimbursement, etc.
Assist academic programs in efforts to identify and obtain funding for graduate student training, development, and fellowships.
Promote graduate student research through collaborating with the Office of Undergraduate Research and planning and participation in campus and professional research events.
Support Graduate Program Directors, faculty, and staff in matters related to Graduate School engagement, outreach and support.
Oversee the planning, implementation and assessment of graduate student engagement opportunities.
Serve as liaison between the Graduate School and other university administrative offices, such as Enrollment Services, college advising units, and Marketing and Communications.
Represent the Graduate School on various UNF committees such as the Distance Learning Committee, Graduate School Advisory Board, and the Graduate Council.

Required Qualifications
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and six years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and eight years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 12 years of direct experience.
