Summary
**Position will split time between Carroll Hospital and Northwest Hospital.**
JOB SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, performs administrative and support duties for the Herman and Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center at Northwest Hospital and community and at the Center for Breast Health at Carroll. including but not limited to all clerical office duties including composing and typing correspondence, relaying confidential information and implementing, maintaining and revising office systems.; greeting, registering, scheduling patients; assisting in preparation for patient appointments including obtaining records and assisting the doctor by taking vital signs and assisting in minor procedures; maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients, other duties as assigned to take care of whatever may need to be done to provide the highest level of customer service. Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the S.P.I.R.I.T. Values of LifeBridge Health.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred High School Diploma
Two (2) to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or medical office experience preferably related to surgical care. Experience in direct patient and customer service required.
CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Effective written and oral communication skills as well as ability to handle monetary transactions. Understanding of human relations and excellent interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive situations. Ability to work rapidly, independently and accurately with little supervision. Analytical ability necessary to gather and summarize data for compiling reports, resolving problems and prioritizing actions. Experience with various office automation systems necessary to maintain efficiency. Ability to communicate on the telephone and in person on a high level with internal and external customers. Comfortable visually with close written work and computer data entry. Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of simultaneous tasks efficiently and effectively. Reliable self transportation and the ability to travel between Carroll Hospital and Northwest Hospital is a required. Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
