Job Description | Saint Peter’s University Athletics seeks an Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Creative Content that will be responsible for oversight of all athletics’ marketing and promotions plans. Additionally, this position will play a key role in all avenues of revenue generation, including on-campus MAAC Championship events, as well as corporate partnerships, alumni relations, branding and more. One of the primary functions of the position is to implement comprehensive marketing plans, create and oversee all creative content for the department and promote the Saint Peter’s Athletics brand and all 16 NCAA Division I sports programs in an effort to increase attendance, maximize the game-day fan experience, increase school spirit and pride, and further develop relationships with internal and external constituents.
Salary Range: $52,000 – $53,315 |
Duties & Responsibilities | - Coordinating game-day promotions and entertainment for all sports with an emphasis on men’s and women’s basketball, including scheduling in-game giveaways and promotions and overseeing anthem singers, spirit squads, PA scripts, halftime performers/events, etc.;
- Creating and maintaining a number of key graphic design marketing elements for the athletics department (i.e. schedule cards, posters, digital videoboard and LED scorer’s table, social media, facility enhancement projects, event and season ticket brochures, corporate partnership proposals, website, etc.);
- Create, edit, and produce unique videos for social media and special events.
- Coordinating and maintaining youth group contacts and attendance at events
- Designing and distributing weekly and monthly e-marketing materials (i.e., Peacock Newsletter)
- Assisting with social media efforts for all Saint Peter’s University Athletics accounts
- Developing promotional informational pieces for distribution internally and externally (i.e., Athletics Annual Report, sponsorship pitch decks; academic success reports, “Quick Facts”, ", etc.);
- Updating and assisting with maintaining the Saint Peter’s Athletics website
- Assisting with fulfillment of corporate partnership activities
- Planning on-campus promotional activities for Saint Peter’s University students, faculty and staff, as well as off-campus community outreach promoting the Saint Peter’s Athletics brand to these constituents;
- Serving as athletics department liaison to various on-campus groups or departments (student life and engagement);
- Planning and executing the marketing of special events for athletics (Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Basketball Tip-Off Dinner, Athletics Golf Outing, Baseball First Pitch Luncheon, Midnight Madness, Youth Days, NGWS Day, postseason tournaments, etc.)
- Assist in areas of game day operation as needed (i.e., serving as PA announcer, assisting with game day operations staff, etc.)

Qualification Standards | - Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, oral, and written communication skills
- Understanding of evolving trends and best practices in college athletics and social & digital media/fan engagement
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of people and units, including various stakeholders in the athletic department and across the institution.
- Working knowledge of Digital Marketing Software Platforms, such as Adobe CC products (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, etc.), SIDEARM websites, MS Office.

Education | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management or other related field preferred OR a Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Public Relations, Sports Management or other related field or significant related/relevant experience. |

Experience | The ideal candidate has previously worked in a college athletics setting, preferably at the Division I level, with experience in marketing & fan engagement, in addition to any undergraduate or graduate school experience. |
