Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Under general supervision, the incumbent will assist the school nurse, provide specialized health services for students, and communicate with district personnel on health-related matters. The employee will also assist with the medical screening of students, disseminate health information, and provide emergency medical care.

Selection Process:
The selection process tentatively consists of the district's application screening and interview process.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.
SKILLS:
Ability to complete data input and general knowledge of appropriate software (i.e., Student Information System and Microsoft Office).
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
• Possession of an active and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse Certificate.
• Possession of a current CPR/First Aid Certification issued by an authorized agency.
PREFERENCE
• Spanish speaking desirable but not necessary.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents are required to furnish a car and be willing to drive in the performance of their duties.
