The Senior Engineering Analyst (level 3) reports to Engineering Leadership whose focus is performing independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals, or organizations.

Writes reports and gives presentations to customers and internal management
Assists Test Engineering with test planning
Participates in IRAD/special projects to develop novel technologies
Performs mechanical analysis (primarily structural and thermal) on subsystems and systems
What we are looking for…
Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required in Technical/Science
2-5 years of professional engineering experience or combination of experience and advanced degree required
Working knowledge of standards and ability to apply them to designs
Solid understanding of component function and testing requirements
Solid use of DFSS tools and methodologies, and knowledge of engineering quality systems
Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple activities
Participates in setting technical direction
Advanced written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate in project team environment and communicate with customers
Proficient use and understanding of computer aided engineering tools for mechanical analysis and manufacturing processes
Proficient use and understanding of system modeling and dynamics analysis tools
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and software design
Proficient use and understanding of computer aided engineering tools for reliability and maintainability prediction
