Responsibilities:
Manages all Human Resource duties according to HR and industry standards while ensuring legal compliance.
Maintains and processes payroll using ADP; this includes tracking and administering salaries, benefits, leave requests, payroll reports, proper recording, filing, and maintaining the ADP Workforce Now HRIS system.
Manages relationships with benefits brokers, directs and provides information of coverage, manages enrollment, new hires, and termination of coverage.
Supports plan evaluations, updates, and communicates changes to staff.
Coordinates with management on job postings, interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, and termination processes.
Provides orientation and processes onboarding and off boarding procedures.
Evaluates and provides updates to the employee policy manual.
Handles investigations and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts.
Ensures compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field; HR Certification desired.
3-4+ years of experience in office administration, payroll processing, benefit administration, and human resources.
Possesses extensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll functions including preparation and balancing—ADP preferred
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of both Federal and State labor laws and HR best practices.
Knowledge of ACA reporting requirements and procedures.
Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications and HRIS.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, both orally and in writing.
Competent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting, respectful relationships; understands that healthy employees and relationships are key to a successful organization.
Enthusiasm to foster a workplace culture that values healthy feedback and fosters a safe and inclusive environment.
Highly detail oriented and organized, with an ability to meet assigned deadlines.
