T-Rex Solutions is seeking to hire a qualified Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation Engineer to support our DISA JITC TEC II program. This is a brand new effort to support DISA's mission to conduct DODIN operations for the joint warfighter to enable lethality across all warfighting domains in defense of our Nation. DISA provides, operates, and assures command and control and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of military operations.
The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) program is a new effort to provide technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced IT/National Security System capabilities.
All work is performed on-site at Fort Meade.

Responsibilities:
- Apply your in-depth knowledge of mission-focused capabilities, widely used and accepted T&E methodologies, and warfighter activities to conduct test planning efforts for all test events, regardless of level of test required. Use appropriate system documentation to perform requirements analysis and make sure sufficient information is known about any new capabilities. The following items are required to successfully plan an OT event:
- Update the Data Source Matrix (DSM) for each event.
- Develop a formal Risk Assessment (RA)
- Prepare and provide Test Concept Brief (TCB)
- Create and deliver a Test Plan
- Create Test Readiness Review (TRR) slides.
- Compile Integrated Evaluation Framework (IEF)
- Create Ras to determine the appropriate level of test for each test event using the JITC guidance documentation (Risk Methodology and approach).
- Prepare and provide a Test Concept Brief (TCB) for each test event. The TCB will be a well thought-out and thorough test methodology that will be the foundation for a solid test plan. Take part in its presentation to both JITC and DOT&E leadership.
- During test execution, assist in data collection and observe users performing their mission and/or execute operational scenarios. Collect, document, and manage all test data in accordance with the DMAP. Leverage instrumentation and automation of data collection and management when appropriate and feasible.
- Responsible for assisting with the planning, executing, and reporting efforts for the following events: Cyber Table Top, Cooperative Vulnerability Penetration Assessment and Adversarial Assessment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and 13+ years of relevant professional experience OR a Master’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience required
- This position requires an Active Top Secret security clearance
- Must have strong operational test and test & evaluation experience
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
- Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team, self-motivated, proactive team player.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and critical thinking skills.
- Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to the task lead and project manager.
