Accounting Specialist II
As an Accounting Specialist II you will performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department.
What You’ll Do
- Daily you will be doing the following.
- Performs standard accounting duties in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Transaction Processing, Payroll or Credit and Collections.
- You will post detailed entries to accounting records and handles routine transactions such as allotments, disbursements, payroll operations, voucher preparations and remittances,
- Carry out instructions for processing billing adjustments and other instructions related to insurance policies.
- Research and resolve unallocated monies, credit balances and misapplied payments.
- Provide support with business inquiries providing closure and resolving differences through multiple contact channels.
- You’ll compile activity and numeric information for inclusion in reports to management relative to Receivables activity.
- Under general supervision, proceeds alone for regular duties, referring questionable cases to supervisor.
- Work is accomplished with moderate supervision. Follows established and detailed directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
What You’ll Need
- To thrive in the role, you must have experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivables/payables, or related accounting experience required.
- You have knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry compliance as related to insurance comparable industry.
- You will need a working knowledge of interfacing departments such as Cashiering, Payables, and Underwriting.
- You have an understand accounting and receivables principles and complexities as related to multiple states or markets.
- 10-key by touch required.
- Intermediate knowledge on all Microsoft Office software products required.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Expert knowledge of company internal accounting systems a plus

The starting pay range for this position is:
$20.06 - $26.75
