Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong work behaviors to join our team as a Scientist II within our Cell Biology team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects with the potential to make a significant impact in the scientific community.
As a Scientist II, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting experimental research to explore new scientific concepts and develop innovative solutions.
- Designing and conducting experiments, accurately analyzing data, and interpreting results.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of research projects.
- Sharing research findings with colleagues within the organization and presenting at scientific conferences.
Requirements for this role include:
- B.S. in Cell Biology or related scientific field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience in scientific research, particularly in the area of cell based screenings and transfection of nucleic acids, preferably using production systems aimed at recombinant protein and/or viral vector production.
- Experience with current laboratory techniques including flow cytometry, qPCR, plate reader-based assays, and prior experience with liquid handling systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
