MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Accountant I to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

• Balance and reconcile all assigned accounts and reports (balance sheet and P&L accounts)
• Reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Prepare and verify journal entries and any other adjustments
• Assist with testing of system improvements and changes
• Consolidate and analyze accounting results for the company, business unit, etc.
• Assist with SOX audit testing and audit requests
• Work with customers, other departments, and higher levels of management
• Perform related and other duties as required
• Assist management with special projects

• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot table and V-lookups)
• Exposure to Sox Compliance preferred
• Proactive approach with strong details ability
• Solid ability to remain organized and prioritize assigned tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• BS in Accounting or related + 1 year of experience

MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.

MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $62,000 to $74,000 Annually

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
