Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role involves collaborating with HR and IT professionals to support the effective use of PeopleSoft HCM applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of PeopleSoft HCM modules including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and Time and Labor.
- Follow the Agile SDLC process and participate as an active member of the HRMIS Scrum Team
- Work with the scrum teams to customize and configure PeopleSoft applications to meet business requirements.
- Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of custom and delivered PeopleSoft applications.
- Design and develop customizations using PeopleTools, Component Interface, Data Mover, Integration Broker, Fluid UI, Approval Workflow Engine (AWE), Event Mapping, Drop Zones, SQR/SQL, PS Query, Kiban, Pivot Grids, BI Publisher, COBOL, Application Engine, and Change Assistant, and
- Design and develop custom Web Services, utilizing the capabilities of PeopleSoft functions using WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI, and Design, develop and maintain integration routines between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
- Support end-users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to PeopleSoft HCM.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
- Assist in data conversion, integration, and reporting tasks using PeopleSoft tools and SQL.
- Stay updated with PeopleSoft HCM best practices and emerging technologies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of PeopleSoft HCM development experience
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft HCM modules and functionalities.
- Knowledge of PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, and SQR.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide clear and accurate written and oral communications
- Demonstrated and proven capability to work independently without supervision or guidance by the Contractor
- Ability to accomplish duties effectively and securely on-site and remotely from the company assigned work location or a government approved location
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Desired Skills
- Development experience with Federal PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and Web Services.
- Strong knowledge of reporting tools such as PS Query and BI Publisher.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
