As the Vice President, Government & Regulatory Affairs based in our Washington, DC office, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a regulatory engagement program for Capital Group that integrates internal and external stakeholders to promote the firm’s business objectives.
Primary responsibilities:
You will be responsible for creating and executing strategies and plans, in partnership with colleagues in Capital Group’s Government Affairs and Legal and Compliance teams, to achieve the firm’s advocacy objectives.
You will build and foster meaningful relationships with regulatory policymakers at the state, federal, and international levels. Relevant policymakers include those at the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Labor, the Federal Trade Commission, the Financial Stability Oversight Council, the Financial Stability Board, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

You are collaborative, partnering seamlessly to develop, promote, and manage Capital Group regulatory-related relationships with third parties, including trade associations, industry participants, and think tanks.
You build consensus while enlisting stakeholders’ participation to help align the regulatory advocacy agenda with the business priorities.
You will help execute Capital Group’s state-level advocacy as needed.
You bring Capital Group’s culture to life, working cooperatively with associates across the organization to achieve shared objectives.

D.C. Base Salary Range: $190,765-$324,301

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
