Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Jury management analyst /Functional Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. As a Jury Management Analyst / Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of our jury management software solutions. Leveraging your expertise in jury management processes and technologies, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and configure software systems to meet the unique needs of each court jurisdiction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the administration of justice while leveraging your analytical and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with court stakeholders, including judges, court administrators, and jury managers, to gather and document functional requirements for jury management software solutions.
- Conduct thorough analysis of current jury management processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Configure and customize jury management software systems to align with client requirements and business processes, including system setup, user roles and permissions, forms and templates, and workflow automation.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of jury management software solutions, including functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide training and support to court staff and end users on the use of jury management software systems, including user manuals, training sessions, and ongoing technical support.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, business rules, and user guides for jury management software solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to jury management and court administration, and proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on jury management software solutions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a business analyst or functional analyst role, preferably in the legal or justice sector.
- Strong understanding of jury management processes and court operations, including experience with jury selection, summoning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Desired Skills
- Experience with jury management software systems or similar court administration software solutions is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Certification in business analysis or related field (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to jury management and court administration.
- Experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to develop training materials and deliver training sessions to end users.
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
