The Retail Communications Lead supports Retail Leaders by managing store workload and tasks related to store operations, team member engagement, training, development, compliance, and addressing store inquiries/issues. The Retail Communications Lead actively contributes to programs, projects, and initiatives, ensuring a streamlined process for all employees. Utilizing systems, they report data, success, and engagement, fostering a cohesive and efficient work environment that ensures a consistent brand voice.
About The Job
- Creates new and updates Retail Operations communication to the retail stores and/or retail employees including but not limited to directives, initiatives, product launches, contests, recognition program and policy updates.
- Supports leadership to improve and/or maintain employee engagement and morale by leading recognition programs, employee spotlights and staying current with the workforce trends.
- Actively manage and assume responsibility for the communications platform. Convey a sense of leadership and involvement in ensuring the platform’s effective operation and development.
- Partners with the learning and development team to develop and implement training programs for the retail team to drive systems expertise, operational excellence, and overall store results.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with other corporate teams to ensure a 360-degree level of service and business partnership for stores and retail leaders.
- Create and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policy & Procedure Manuals (P&P) – ensuring all content is relatable and current.
- Organize materials and resources within the knowledge base in Yoobic to ensure stores have a wide array of relevant materials available for troubleshooting or “how-to’s”.
- Collaborates with Retail Leadership Team to activate training delivery across all operational priorities and projects including New Store Openings, system rollouts, Learning Management Systems and other retail or company systems that are utilized in the stores.
- Miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned to support the department.
About You
- Minimum 5 years of experience in internal communications or a related field.
- Retail background is desirable.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful internal communication strategies.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and the unique needs of store teams.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience with content creation for various communication channels (digital and print).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in project management tools and communication software (e.g., MS Office Suite, CMS platforms).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and measure communication effectiveness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $96,600-146,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
