Position Overview:
The DC Trainer will be responsible for mentorship, oversight, and training for all new hires. The Trainer will work alongside new associates to teach by example and help improve productivity and efficiency, as well as help them reach their performance incentive goals. When there are multiple new hires they will float to various areas to ensure they are checking in and spending time with each associate or group of associates. The Trainer will also be responsible to assist with new hire orientations to allow the associates to gain real live understanding of the job, performance, and reality of achieving the performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship to newly hires Associates;
Responsible for training new hires in all areas of distribution;
Provide hands on demonstration of job duties to new hires to assist in improved productivity, efficiency, and to achieve incentive goals;
Allocate time to different departments to ensure all new hires are having a positive onboarding experience;
Provide orientation support as needed; with the exception of safety training and/or Human Resources specific content;
Follow all safety and housekeeping rules and procedures;
Provide guidance for company policy as necessary;
Participate in job function of assigned department when not training Associates;
Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Six to Twelve months prior Ollie’s experience;
Must be accurate with great attention to detail;
Good communication skills;
Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job (powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.);
Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done)
Must be able to meet all current productivity requirements
Physical Requirements:
Duties may frequently involve the use of ladders and stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Depth perception and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment at ceiling level.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend and twist frequently.
Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
