Maintains knowledge in operation, maintenance, parameters, policies and procedures regarding infection control, disinfection, and sterilization. Maintains detailed records in accordance with quality control and regulatory standards. Manages Sterile Processing Department Coworkers in conjunction with Director - Regional Sterile Processing. Performs all functions of Instrument Technician when needed to help staff. Qualifications: Experience: One year experience in operating room, instrument room, or ambulatory surgery center (intraoperative). Required Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Preferred Experience: Prefer one year leadership experience. Certifications: CRCST or obtain within 6 months. Other: Fluent in written and spoken English, skilled in using electronic medical record to determine instrument needs, experience with surgical instruments, sterilization, and processing. Prefer someone fluent with automated instrument tracking systems, adept in Excel, Word.
