The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for managing the services and personnel for the local transportation hub.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage, coordinate, and schedule a fleet of drivers according to airline schedule in compliance with company and safety rules to maximize equipment utility, the customer experience and operational profitability.

Typical Day:(including but not limited to):
Lead and motivate a team of over 40 - 50 drivers ensuring safe, efficient and timely operations at all times.
Ensure that all routes are running on time and frequently check in with Drivers to see if assistance is needed
Scheduling and operational planning including a basic understanding of KPI's, budget planning and talent management;
Lead Customer relations with our Airline Crew that result in the achievement of “Raving Fan” service levels and exceeding client expectations;
Safety management; Ensure that a personal commitment to safety is exhibited in the execution of all policies and tasks by all team members – enforce “Safety First”;
Communicate issues and provide data to Headquarters and dispatch for timely resolution
Ensure that a Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection on vehicles is done daily
Ensure proper acquisition and development of a team of drivers that are fully accountable professionals focused on “Raving fan Service” who exceed client expectations and meet company standards
Requirements
Requirements:
Five years experience in transportation with managing experience in transportation as a service desired
Experience in supervising transportation staff members
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations applicable to transportation
Good leadership and communication skills
Must have current, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Will be required to obtain driving permits as required by airport authorities.
Experience driving a shuttle, bus, passenger van or vehicle for hire is preferred.
Must be able to lift to 75 lbs
Must have dexterous use of both hands and legs. Must be able to work outdoors in heat and cold.
Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records.
