The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols, working cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, delivering excellent customer service and adhering to Lean processes. This role supports the team in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule: Office is openseven days a week. This role would consist of a 37.5 hour work week, between the hours of 8:00 am to close (approximately 6:30 pm). The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
- Intermediate computer proficiency (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or Associates degree in medical field
- 1+ years of experience working in medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
- Experience working with an electronic health record system (EPIC)
- Knowledge of Medical terms
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Pediatrics experience

- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
