The Director will be accountable for delivering the technical solution through partnership with multiple partners and service providers. In addition to the SFCC technical skillset, strong communication and a positive approach to working in a highly matrixed environment is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities • Leverage Commerce expertise to act as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer as needed • Design and oversee technical architecture solutions with focus on security, authentication, scalability and performance • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Salesforce developers and architects, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans • Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies for Salesforce development and deployment • Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions Skills/Experience • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and follow-through abilities • 8-10 years of professional software development experience • At least 5 years of experience required in design, development, testing, and implementation of Commerce applications including front-end development, payments, order management system(s), and partner fulfillment technologies Other Qualifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when it comes to conveying technical concepts to audiences at all levels • Ability to mentor and learn from other team members through pairing, code reviews, and documentation • An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative development • Constant drive to complete projects and to overcome roadblocks with positivity and creativity • Experience in building application observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.
