Job Abstract

Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Los Angeles, California. Provide support to the portfolio managers and sales teams in the implementation of new client accounts, trade execution, liquidity management and ongoing servicing of existing clients. Leverage operational background and experience to contribute to a growing business. Work closely with Private Wealth Advisors to support their PWM clients and identify wallet share growth opportunities in existing client base. Identify opportunities for and coordinate wealth advisory services within client base and manage advisory business implementation and rebalancing. Manage cash balances and private banking services in accounts and serve as a key liaison to other areas supporting the PWM Business. Plan and manage new account on boarding process and provide overview of client reporting and web capabilities to potential new clients. Execute, process, and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions and analyze and reconcile the teams’ business. Participate in the divisional efforts to improve efficiencies with the PWM Business and in recruiting and training. Serve as a coach and mentor for more junior teammates.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Employer will accept bachelor's degree equivalent based on single degree, combination of degrees, or combination of degree(s) and professional work experience, where determined to be equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Prior experience must include five (5) years with each of the following: client service, operational processes, and wealth management in dealing with high-net-worth individual clients; account set up for high-net-worth individuals including account opening and maintenance, client statements and reporting, account performance, analyzing account transactions, account transfers, asset servicing and corporate actions, class actions, and private lending solutions; handling and facilitating client requests including cash and asset movements, general portfolio inquiries, executing client directed trades, portfolio implementations, and inquiries on client documents such as statements, tax documents, trade confirms, and overall account maintenance; communicating in a high-pressure environment and explaining complex documents including account opening documents and private equity subscription documents to clients; experience with financial markets and financial products including cash, cash equivalents, public equities, fixed income, and alternative investments; analyzing client accounts and their positions and balances, and addressing client requests, cash availability for outgoing wires or cash, and security transfers; experience in Financial Services Industry, Operations, and Client Service for high-net-worth clients, in private wealth management or its related financial operations; improving processes, developing controls, and creating efficiencies to streamline workflows relating to reoccurring asset transfers, maintenance of cash positions, and client interactions; and executing long-term wealth management plans including estate planning, trust structuring, asset allocation, portfolio oversight, or selection of portfolio managers. FINRA SIE, Series 7 & Series 63 licenses required or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this Los Angeles, California, United States-based position is $124,000 - $270,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
