As a Specialist Repair & Maintenance, you will manage a variety of projects and assignments for the Facilities function including but not limited to systems and documentation maintenance, compliance, and health and safety initiatives. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What You’ll Do
- Updates and maintains all required documentation and records for Facilities maintenance and environmental health and safety activities. Ensures that all documentation complies with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Acts as liaison between Facilities and other departmental resources in Engineering, Regulatory and other departments.
- Functions as internal auditor to insure adherence to ISO 14001 requirements.
- Functions as systems administrator for Sylmar site’s software database which tracks all required maintenance of tools and equipment used for facility maintenance and manufacturing operations. Verifies that all reference documentation is current and accurate. Ensures integrity of data in the system.
- Provides project management and resource support to address Health and Safety needs assist with program and service delivery. May research and identify external consultants and technical experts as needed.
- Assesses current processes and makes recommendations for improvement to achieve greater efficiency.
- Develops detailed projection of resources required to accomplish maintenance activities.
- Develops schedules, runs status reports, and follows-up on pending action items.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Experience You’ll Bring
Required
- Bachelors Degree in a Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Strong database administration experience.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
