Quality Assurance Manager Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for inspecting and evaluating the construction of Lennar homes to ensure compliance with quality standards, building codes, and scopes of work and specifications. They play a critical role in managing construction quality and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of Lennar Customers. The goal is an exceptional customer experience through a Zero Defect Home at New Home Celebration.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Quality Assurance inspections of entire home, focusing on materials, and workmanship.
- Support all associates, by reviewing all aspects of the home building process, on each community, to help make homeownership an extraordinary TDH experience.
- Verify that construction adheres to approved plans, specifications, local building codes, and scopes of work.
- Evaluate and review the quality of workmanship, by touring each community, on a regular basis and by reviewing trade evaluations.
- Communicate with sales associates, on each community, on a regular basis, to help support and build strong team relationships.
- Review the Heightened Awareness Report on each community and help achieve the division standard in construction quality, job safety, job cleanliness, and construction administration.
- Evaluate the customer care on response time, outstanding calls, and customer TDH results.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, including photographs and written reports as directed by the division leadership.
- Evaluate the work of trade partners and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review the Forensic Reports and help associates be successful at closing of open items and managing the Red Folder Process.
- Communicate with homebuyers and other Lennar associates as needed to include giving updates, scheduling walks/orientations, obtaining sign offs, and attend other meetings as necessary.
- Prepare inspections reports for communication to contractors, and stakeholders as requested by VP of Customer Experience.
- Communicate information from reports and data with Division Presidents and department heads.
- Review Heightened Awareness Program and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop solutions to quality-related challenges and ensure project progress is not compromised.
- Stay informed on Manufacturers specifications and best practice for installation for products selected in the home.
- Provide guidance and needed training recommendations to VP of Customer Experience to improve quality standards and best practices.
- Promote goodwill between departments and division associates.
- Support all division needs with production scheduling, cycle time templates, best practices and Build Pro system training needs (Division Build Pro Management/Liaison)
- Conduct New Home Celebration and Acceptance as scheduled.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years minimum of experience in new home construction and/or customer care preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Valid Motor Vehicle License required
- Relevant certification in construction codes is preferred as well as strong plan reading ability
- Previous experience in construction quality inspection or a related role is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes
- Attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in outdoor and construction site environments
- Familiarity with construction management software (BuildPro & Sales Force) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office and/or the field environment. Also requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see, speak and hear. Finger dexterity required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, iPad and iPhone. Must be able to work in an outdoor construction environment under all weather conditions around hazardous chemicals, dust and dirt. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork, and meeting with vendors and contractors and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying. Limited travel may be required.

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from $66,560-$70,049, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations.
