Requirements: Must have 5+ years of heavy experience in a payroll position Skilled in managing and processing multiple payroll cycles in a fast-paced setting Prepare and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees. Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other special payroll transactions. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Prepare and file necessary payroll tax returns and reports. Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Address and resolve employee questions and issues regarding payroll. Provide assistance with the payroll system and related processes. Maintain accurate employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of payroll information. Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and consistent payroll data. Assist with benefits administration and other HR-related tasks as needed. Identify and implement improvements to the payroll process for efficiency and accuracy. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting payroll.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience. Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar systems).
Skills: Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
