HOW A LOGISTIC FACILITIES ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Plan, direct, or coordinate the transportation, storage, or distribution of goods and services. Develop forecasting plans to maintain enough inventory. Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner. Establish priorities, track assignments, and ensure availability of resources. Maintain schedules and deadlines. Comply with plant standards and shipping regulations. Work with facilities manager, loading and building personnel to ensure shipments and cost targets are met. Work with production personnel to verify materials needed to match project schedule. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Perform additional administrative/logistics duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
? Education: High School Diploma/GED
? Required Experience: 5 years of related facility, administrative and logistics experience
? Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Poly
? Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to lift up to >25 lbs.; supply management; communication planning and receiving and organizing supplies.
? Preferred Skills: Record-keeping; facilities management; logistics
? Location: On Customer Site.
Additional Skills, Abilities and Functions:
The Senior Facilities Specialist/officer will maintain office supplies for department personnel, all centrally located in one building. The officer will be responsible for taking inventory of office supplies and ordering additional standard supplies (e.g., pens, note pads) before the stock is diminished (well-stocked now). The officer will use the Sponsor Procurement system for ordering supplies. The officer will be the focal point for facility related maintenance requests (e.g., light bulb replacement) and will also be the focal point for ensuring that facility announcements (e.g., power outage) are properly communicated within the department. The officer will be involved in assisting in the future move and expansion of office space within the same building and will be the main POC leading office logistics and facility renovations. This expansion will add 30-40 additional personnel. The officer will be expected to initiate actions where they feel processes may be improved.
The officer will monitor and manage telephones calls for manager. Conversations must be held in a professional manner and with a "customer service" attitude to portray a positive impression. The officer will retrieve, open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and ensure outgoing mail is sent in a timely manner and contains proper content, formatting, and classification. The officer must have attention to detail, ability to manage competing requirements, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
The officer will serve as the focal point for new officers, providing office rosters, phone trees and phone cards as staff and contractor personnel transition to and from the department. The officer must be able to think critically, be detail oriented, and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing). The officer will maintain administrative and personnel record-keeping systems in electronic or hardcopy forms. Actions include maintaining seating charts and check in/check out actions. The officer will assist manager and building engineer with escorting outside vendors/contractors throughout building. Perform monthly refrigerator cleaning.

The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
