AT&T has an opening for a Network Management Service (NMS) Designer to support the changing needs of the customer. The NMS Designer is responsible for designing and building components of scalable, secure web-based applications. The NMS Designer is also responsible for participating in the full application lifecycle including support of the application in production by researching and resolving production issues.
The job duties of the NMS Designer include the following:
- Employs Linux system knowledge with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x through 9.x operating systems to develop core solutions.
- Works closely with other teams to gather customer needs and requirements and then design and develop strong customer-focused solutions.
- Coordinates and manages patching repositories in offline environments to ensure timely vulnerability patching.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: The candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a doctorate and 3 years, a master’s and 4 years, a bachelor’s and 6 years, an associates and 8 years or a HS diploma and 10 years. Additional required qualifications include:
- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
- OpenText/Micro Focus architecture and design experience.
- Riverbed/Alluvio architecture and integration experience for event stream and configurations.
- Strong Unix/Linux system knowledge.
- Strong experience automating tasks and processes of varying levels of complexity up to and including orchestrating a sequence of disparate automation solutions as a single workflow.
- Strong scripting and automation experience to reduce human errors and improve production rollout timeframes.
- Strong experience with designing, integrating, testing, and implementing Riverbed/Alluvio systems, applications, and documents.
- Understands and uses all phases of the software development lifecycle; the System Engineering Life Cycle; and the ability to comprehend user business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding with technical skills.
- Experience integrating Ansible products with enterprise infrastructure services such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Network Timing Protocol (NTP), etc.
- Experience integrating Ansible products with enterprise infrastructure services such as LDAP, NTP, etc.
- 10+ years of tooling and automation development experience.
- Knowledge of OpenText (Micro Focus) Network Node Manager I (NNMi), Network Automation (NA), Network Operations Manager (NOM) and OPTIC.
- Knowledge of Agile & Scrum Methodologies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Expert at OpenText/Micro Focus NNMi, NOM, and NA architecture, design, and development; containerization and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OBM to develop dashboard solutions.
- Knowledge of standard networking monitoring technologies (Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), *Flow, etc.).
- Knowledge on network device configuration and management.
- Experience in automation on Management Software (Ansible).
- Knowledge of Unit Test framework.
