Instructional Designer - Victim Services (REMOTE ROLE)

As a full time INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER for the Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC), you will be responsible for developing training and technical assistance (TTA) best practices to be used by OVC’s training and technical assistance grantees, reviewing grantee TTA products, and working with grantees to ensure that the best practices are applied to the grantee products. You will be responsible for managing the revisions to a suite of online training materials. You will design and develop creative and engaging online trainings and microvideos that support victim advocates and OVC grantees.
We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.
What You Will Do
- Develop Training and Technical Assistance Uniform Guiding Principles, including managing a Working Group made up of OVC, OVC TTAC staff, and OVC grantees.
- Review and provide feedback on OVC grantee products to ensure that the products adhere to the Training and Technical Assistance Uniform Guiding Principles.
- Review existing written and online training materials and either update them or make recommendations for how they could be updated.
- Ensure that all online trainings and microvideos are developed to be fully 508 compliant.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), OVC staff, and OVC TTAC internal staff in the design and development of online trainings.
- Create instructionally sound online trainings that adhere to adult learning principles, including developing learning objectives, assessments, learning activities, case studies, job aids, and reference materials.
- Design and develop microvideos.
Your Minimum Qualifications
- M.A. or M. Ed. in Instructional Design, Distance Learning, Adult Learning, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience as an Instructional Designer designing and developing online training projects.
- This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Applicants will be subject to government security investigation to obtain clearance prior to the start date.
Additional Skills We Would Like You To Have
- Experience using Adobe Learning Manager or other LMS.
- Knowledge of training and technical assistance best practices and the ability to apply them to TTA products.
- Experience in ensuring that products are 508 compliant.
- Experience in using Storyline.
- Knowledge of victim services field a plus.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$63,511.00 - $107,968.00
