Peraton is currently seeking a General Ledger Accountant in support of our Corporate Finance team.
Responsibilities include:
Manage and perform traditional general accounting functions such as Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entry review and processing, support with month end close, audit support, financial statement analysis and other general ledger functions.
Responsible for a single, several or all segments of the general accounting function either directly or through subordinate managers.
Subordinate activities include maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers of the entity, preparing operating and financial statements, reconciling Balance Sheet accounts, and quarterly and monthly trend analysis.
Other subordinate activities may include accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, analysis of indirect cost and rates, inter-company eliminations, prepaid schedules and setup, lease accounting.
Maintain accurate records of earnings, profits, cash balance, and other financial results.
Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Work with the supervisor to ensure deadlines are met and all deliverables completed in a timely fashion.
Respond to inquiries from the Controller or CFO, and other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university and 12 years of experience, or MS/MA and 10 years of experience or a PhD and 7 years of experience.
5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
Requires advance knowledge of Excel to include pivot tables, vlookups, and other formulas and ability to work with large volume of data.
Preferred knowledge and experience with Deltek Costpoint.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
