The Vulnerability Researcher assists efforts to identify vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats to program, functions, products, applications, and systems. They leverage HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and other information to assess vulnerabilities and conduct security evaluations of hardware and software components, architectures, algorithms, and protocols. They analyze and characterize identified vulnerabilities and threats and relate them to the effects on the operations and missions supported by those systems. They provide formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives of actual and potential attacks against the systems, technologies, applications, operations, or missions being studied. The Vulnerability Researcher takes direction from more senior personnel. They collaborate and share work with other Vulnerability Researchers.
Basic Qualifications:
High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
