Specific Responsibilities
The Global Supply Chain Strategy & Process Supervisor for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Global Supply Chain team at the company’s Midland, Texas office reporting to the Category Management & Strategy Sourcing Manager. The main objective of the Supervisor will be to manage sand operations utilizing the allocation and strategy given by the Category Manager while minimizing NPT, detention, and reroutes while prioritizing safety. To achieve this, the Supervisor will interact with Apache's operating assets and relevant stakeholders to ensure sand delivery is achieved safely and with minimal non-productive time.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Develop and manage onsite sand coordinators.
Ensure all third party suppliers are adhering to Apache EH&S policies.
Proactively work with necessary internal and external stakeholders for opportunities for improvement on new technologies to enhance and improve the safety of sand operations.
Execute allocation plan provided by Category Management by proactively communicating to sand coordinators to ensure accuracy of execution.
Provide weekly updates on allocation performance.
Travel to Apache fleets weekly.
Potentially travel to additional sites based on needs of the Category.
Input daily event activities into Apache’s internal sand operations platform.
Provide daily/weekly/monthly updates on supplier performance to Category Management.
Monitor transportation management system to ensure sand demand is being fulfilled.
Maintain data accuracy in transportation management system.
Daily communications with supplier’s demand planning group to keep suppliers updated on Apache allocation needs.
Manage trucking companies on Apache fleets and adjust trucking company allocation if needed.
On call to manage any unforeseen events that potentially will affect allocations or operations.
Category Management and Strategic Sourcing
Support Category Manager to develop detailed contract management plans with input from stakeholders
Support Supplier performance management through providing of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), communication of operational performance and identification of areas for improvement.
Identify and monitor leading supply market indicators.
Understand sourcing strategy concepts and support the identification of strategic options and apply simple strategies.
Ensure compliance with related policies and procedures.
Constructively challenges internal and cross-functional teams as needed and uses a high level of creativity create significant opportunities for financial and/or competitive advantage
Meet with key suppliers to assess performance
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years of experience
Experience in managing sand operations including but not limited to silos, pneumatic trucking, bottom dump trucking, box trucking.
Process driven, servant leader with the ability to drive efficient execution across transactional GSC activities.
