Job Description:
Under general direction, the Driver will manage and direct the day-to-day administration and scheduling of work order requests for vehicles at Pyramid Healthcare. The role involves optimizing the reloadable bulk transportation network nationwide by communicating with terminals, local dispatchers, and third-party logistics providers. Additionally, the Driver will manage the Central Scheduling team members, establishing key performance metrics to ensure that each schedule covers all admissions and discharge plans for drivers within their assigned region.
Responsibilities:
- Orientation, training, and scheduling of drivers.
- Staff the Transportation Department, including the selection, orientation, training, and scheduling of employees.
- Supervise drivers.
- Complete all required reports associated with the Transportation Department.
- Receive transportation calls/inquiries.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Model appropriate driver skills to other drivers.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to work alone.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. of force if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Shift:
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, sometimes needing to stay until 4 or 5 pm.
- On-Call every 4th weekend.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience preferred, but not required.
- Team player.
