As a Principal Mechanical Project Engineer, you will have a full range of engineering responsibilities requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks. This team is responsible for all aspects and execution of Air Handling Unit design and application.
How you will do it
Independently develops approach to solutions and leads in process improvement. independently with
Works collaboratively to determine best techniques/procedures/theories and applies them to analysis, design or research of mechanical equipment and components related to the HVAC industry.
Applies use of statistical analysis and other quality principles and tools. Possesses a mature understanding of advanced statistical analysis tools.
Plans complex projects and product releases. Drives for results and plans cross functional work with other departments.
Responsible for technical direction of designers and technicians on specific work assignments. Guide and mentor less experienced engineers
Skilled at analyzing product design requirements and recommending solutions. Promotes Design for Manufacturability philosophy and simplifies complex specifications into logical design requirements.
Able to complete full set of designs for features or products.
Prepares, checks, and coordinates the release of documentation to support AHU component design and application.
Uses expertise to provide instruction and guidance to others.
Defines specifications for multiple features or products. Uses expertise to design a balanced system approach and is cognizant of all associated activities.
Prepares and participates in design reviews.
Project and product communicator. Able to represent engineering in cross functional activities.
What we look for
Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science.
7+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role with experience managing projects.
AutoCAD / Inventor experience is beneficial.
Must be commuting distance to York, PA, or open to relocation.
