The Digital IT Technical Specialist (Level 1) is considered a subject matter expert and is responsible for the implementation and support of highly secure and resilient information technology solutions supporting Parker’s global distribution operations. Within this area, the Digital IT Technical Specialist is accountable for delivery of technical systems/solutions, architecture design and documentation, and supporting enterprise and global environments while focused on continuous improvement in support of the Global Distribution Systems strategic vision and roadmap.
This position does not have direct reports.
Essential Functions
· As the subject matter expert for the below items, understand all business needs and impact/risk of systematic and operational changes, improvements, and upgrades while communicating all related activity and effectively managing customer expectations.
o All systematic activity surrounding the inbound processes for US PSC’s
o Warehouse automation integration and execution for US PSC’s
· Stay abreast of new warehouse related Digital and IT technological innovations and processes and researches their application at Parker
· Leads the development and implementation of warehouse management and automation solutions that address new business requirements and manage risk
· Coordinate the development of training materials and techniques to train team members on enterprise warehouse management and automation systems.
· Provide architectural, technical, and process documentation for implementations, changes, improvements, and upgrades to warehouse management and automation systems.
· Lead and coordinate support activity for enterprise warehouse management systems and warehouse automation systems
· Coordinate ongoing systematic regression testing for enterprise warehouse management and automation systems
· Represent Distribution Systems in Corporate Change Advisory Board presenting departmental changes and determining impact/risk of all changes to the enterprise warehouse and automation systems
· Lead after hours support structure for enterprise warehouse management related systems
· Has a broad understanding of Digital and IT strategy across all functions and can assess impact within own area of responsibility. Interprets business requirements effectively that can translate to information technology solutions.
· Performs benchmark analysis and ROI on existing & new Digital and IT solutions in order to estimate, develop and manage departmental, project, and operational budgets and cost/performance analysis.
· Lead and apply continuous improvement initiatives in all distribution/warehousing activity to streamline and improve system and operational processes.

Qualifications
· 4-year University / College Degree or significant technical certifications
· Five or more years’ experience in Information Technology
· Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills among all levels of the organization
· Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders
· Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements
