PURPOSE: Support overall FG business planning process to ensure high customer fill rates and promise date attainment.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Support the overall FG business planning process as needed (Machines, WCTA and Replacement Parts)
- Lead/support strategic FG Planning projects
- Drive continued improvement for higher service levels for FG Demand Planning
- Continued development and implementation of distribution stocking strategies to ensure high customer fill rates and promise dates
- Manage the timing and release of purchase orders for finished goods materials from 3rd parties and subsidiaries to properly maintain distribution center stock, service levels and planned days of inventory
- Achieve the organizations FG inventory DOH and distribution cost attainment goals
- Communicate closely with suppliers to improve on-time delivery performance
- Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to ensure high level of inventory accuracy
- Set annual performance targets for function in the areas of inventory and service; linking metrics to overall business unit objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Demand Planning Manager of Finished Goods
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Four year college degree preferably in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Business or Materials Management
- Experience in operations planning, materials management, and inventory control
- APICS certified or the willingness to enroll and complete the APICS certification program
- Continuous Improvement Certifications/ training preferred: Six Sigma Grey Belt, Six Sigma Red Belt or Black Belt certified preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP
- Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- High level of analytical ability to utilize complex planning system and identify “root cause” process problems
- Must be able to handle a constantly changing set of priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to find meaningful long term business solutions
- Results oriented and quality focused
