Electrical Troubleshooting Technician
A large, privately owned electronics manufacturing company is growing and looking to add an Electrical Troubleshooting Technician, level 2. The company is housed in a 77,000-square-foot facility and has about 120 employees.
Location: Moorpark, CA full-time: $22-26/hr (DOE) This is a fulltime, temp-to-hire position Schedule: Mon-Thu 6.00 am - 4:30 pm, Fri-Sun off The company offers extensive benefits
Responsibilities:
Execute high level of troubleshooting to component level.
Read and interpret schematics and drawings to identify design and manufacturing flaws.
Ability to use design files and output files.
Perform necessary research to build an understanding of customer boards and components.
Use electrical test equipment, including: oscilloscope, multimeter, AC/DC power supply, and customer supplied test fixtures.
Communicate with customers regarding testing, design and failure issues.
Create testing and programming documents for various boards.
Meet strict deadlines for product shipments.
Interface with all departments on test and quality issues.
Report failure analysis and trending patterns to Engineering and Quality.
Involvement with corrective and preventive action program to improve quality .
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or EET Certificate.
Five (5) to ten (10) years prior job-related experience.
Understanding and ability to work within the processes of ISO and IPC
Must be able to communicate information with others read/speak/write English.
Proficient in basic computer skills, including: Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, Windows Operating System environment. Maintain test sets and equipment.
