Job Abstract

Our Lady of Solitude is looking for a creative and multitasking individual ready to work in a part-time position.

The position is based on being tech savvy, and keeping an updated mindset on all social networks.

Since this involves being part of the media, you will be in charge of the website where you make sure everything is up to date whether that be events, news, themes, photos, etc.

• Social media is part of this position, this involves any new platforms you’re willing to make for us such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. Keeping these platforms up to date is crucial as we need a media presence and more coverage on what’s day-to-day in the church.
• Our Bulletin is significant, do you have the skill of building and adding new information to the paper? Are you familiar with Microsoft programs and other platforms that can help build the bulletin?
• The position also involves communicating with your team, being the priest, secretaries, and anyone you know who obtains the information needed. Networking is required!
• Filling out weekly work reports is a task that shall be completed by the end of the week. This helps the father catch up on what you’re working on and it helps you to keep track of what you’ve accomplished.

As mentioned in the job title, we are also looking for secretary qualities. That being, answering phone calls when required, assisting the front desk, taking down annotations of messages for the office, and more.

Overall this position is convenient for anyone in need of a part- time job with the knowledge and experience previously mentioned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of the following programs:
– Microsoft Programs (word, publisher, outlook)
– Web designing programs ( E-Catholics, Wix)
– Facebook (Church)
– Graphic Designing (Canva, Churchart)

Qualities of the following:
– Administrative skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
– Creative, works independently, thinks outside the box and willing to try new ideas
– Note taking and planning skills
– Is able to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all
– Preferably a practicing Roman Catholic
