PURPOSE: To participate within the Advanced Technology Team to develop or improve new and existing products.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Provide technical support to engineers in the development and testing of new power electronic designs for Lincolns Advanced Technology products.
- Apply experience and skills to assist in the design of new welding equipment.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
- Build and integrate prototype electronic circuits into machines
- Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
- Run a wide variety of design verification and compliance tests.
- Gathers, maintains, compiles and manipulates technical data
- Create detailed documentation of test results and various investigations.
- May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology
Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology & 3+ years of related experience or,
Associate Degree in related field & 5+ years of related experience or,
10+ years of related experience
Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology & 5+ years of related experience or,
Associates Degree in related field & 7+ years of related experience or,
15+ years of related experience
- Read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams
- Understand how basic electronic components, like transistors, op-amps, function
- Use lab equipment like: oscilloscopes, voltage, current, power meters
- Use basic hand and power tools for assembly and analysis work
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point; CAD software; ability to learn SAP
- Ability to perform hands-on work. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle a constantly changing set of priorities
