Job Abstract

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides engineering and programmatic support to the Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Reviews designs and/or fabrication of material solutions provided by government and civilian contractors, provides opinions and evaluations of proposed solutions to assist in program office decision making efforts
  • Coordinates with and support of efforts to identify and evaluates capabilities supportive of urgent capability needs
  • Supports demonstration of capabilities to verify providers' documentation and solutions
  • Assists with the collection, analysis, transformation, dissemination, visualization, and management of engineering related programmatic documentation supporting command decisions and briefings; this includes development of documentation such as Systems Engineering Plan, Program Protection Plan, Baselines, Software plans, Security Classification Guides, Clinger-Cohen Act packages, Technical Review Action Plans for Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, with an emphasis on the Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Integration Review (NDIR), and other documentation required to meet acquisition requirements
  • Provides support to demonstrations and preparation for integration, fielding and transition
  • Provides production and post-production analysis and support
  • Provides support for configuration management of systems through preparation, review and tracking of Engineering Change Proposals
  • Provides support in the development of requirements traceability
  • Provides support for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) activities
  • Performs other engineering management activities as required to support the acquisition of systems under the purview of UCS IPT

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must have experience with communications systems to support acquisition, test & evaluation, certification, and integration

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of the DoD Acquisitions process
  • Understanding of radar systems and vehicle integration
