An experienced Cybersecurity Engineer is needed to support our customer’s Asset Security Services (AS^2) team in Falls Church, Virginia.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Responsible for the security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, to include cloud computing, and assigned to project/initiatives of large size, complexity and risk.
- Develop actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines to ensure enterprise information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business.
- Review user needs and requirements, interprets, and uses IT architectural guidelines to review system architecture designs for systems.
- Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information to integrate and migrate existing and planned platforms in support of an organization’s enterprise architecture.
- Discern protection needs (e.g., security controls) to compare an organization’s protection requirements to its information security guidance; identifies gaps in its security architecture, presents considerations for applicability and risk, and provides recommendations for remediation.
- Provides senior leadership and oversight for a cybersecurity program/operation that includes multiple projects.
- Testing, New Cybersecurity Capability Development, and Cybersecurity Policy Analysis.
- Develops Information Assurance processes utilizing most up-to-date industry best practices.
- Possesses operational decision-making authority (with Government management collaboration).
- Participates in technical, business process, and status review meetings.
- Supervises Cyber staff supporting the Cybersecurity infrastructure across multiple CONUS locations.
- Manages Engineering activities, deliverables, presentations, and briefings.
- Maintains client service levels and specifications.
- Utilizes formal change control process to ensure agreement on all objectives and tasks.
- Formulates and administers Cybersecurity policies and procedures to define and enhance capabilities and performance.
- Identifies improvement areas through analysis of issues, internal audits, and Government compliance.
- Plans and implements new Cybersecurity enhancements.
Required experience:
- Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance.
- 5+ years’ experience with digital forensics
- Must have 5+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, in an information technology discipline or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or IT work experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
